Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Amana AI is an AI study platform that schools provide to their pupils and staff. It is a product of Inteva AI Technologies LLC ("we", "us"), headquartered at Block B, Office B49-043, Sharjah Research, Technology & Innovation Park (SRTIP), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what personal data the platform processes, why, and how it is protected. It applies to the Amana AI application and to this website.

We process personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and any other law that applies to the school, including the rules of a free zone where the school is established.

2. Who is responsible

Your school is the controller of the personal data in its Amana AI account: it decides who has an account, which rules apply and how long data is kept. Inteva AI Technologies LLC acts as the school's processor and handles that data only on the school's instructions and under its agreement with the school.

For enquiries you send us directly (for example by email from this website), Inteva AI Technologies LLC is the controller of that correspondence.

3. Information we process

Depending on how the school sets up its account, the platform processes:

• Account details from the school or its sign-in provider: name, school email address, role, grade or class, and preferred language.
• What people send and receive in the platform: chat messages, AI answers and the documents pupils or staff upload.
• Usage records: the time of a request, the model and mode used, the size and cost of the request, and a pseudonymous ID in place of the person's name.
• Safety records: when a guardrail acted and why, stored without the text that triggered it.
• Technical logs needed to run and secure the service, with personal data removed before they are stored.

4. How we use it

We use personal data only to provide Amana AI to the school: to sign people in, apply the school's rules, run the safety checks, answer questions, show the school its pseudonymous usage and learning insights, keep an audit trail, and support the school.

We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use pupils' conversations or uploads to train AI models.

5. AI model providers

To answer a question, the platform sends the message and the relevant context to an AI model provider chosen by the school, using the school's own provider account. The provider's terms, agreed between the school and that provider, apply to that processing.

Before a message leaves the platform, the school's settings can mask or block personal details such as Emirates ID numbers, phone numbers and email addresses.

6. Children's data

Most people who use Amana AI are pupils. Accounts are created or approved by the school; pupils cannot sign up on their own. The school is responsible for any parental consent or notice that applies to it.

Settings for each grade keep answers age-appropriate, and reports seen by staff identify pupils by a pseudonymous ID rather than by name.

7. Who can see it

Inside the school, staff see only what their role allows. Outside the school, personal data is shared only with:

• service providers that host and operate the platform for us, under written data-protection terms;
• the AI model providers the school has chosen, as described above;
• authorities, where the law requires it.

8. How we protect it

Each school's data is kept separate and that separation is enforced by the database itself. Conversation text is encrypted with a key that belongs to the school, provider keys are held in a secure vault and never shown in the browser, and important actions are written to a tamper-evident audit log.

9. How long we keep it

Conversations are kept for the period the school sets and then deleted automatically. Uploaded documents expire according to the school's settings. Pseudonymous usage figures and audit records are kept for as long as the school's agreement and the law require.

10. Your rights

Under the PDPL you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. Because your school manages your account, please send requests to the school first; we will help the school respond.

11. Cookies

Amana AI uses only cookies that are needed for the service to work:

• amana_sid, which holds a random session identifier (never your password or sign-in tokens) and is deleted when you sign out;
• short-lived cookies used only while you sign in or join a school;
• a cookie that remembers your language.

12. Where data is processed

The platform is hosted in the location set out in the school's agreement. An AI model provider chosen by the school may process messages outside the UAE; such transfers take place only as the PDPL and the school's agreement allow.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the platform or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will tell schools about any significant change before it takes effect.
